Summer Catch-up: Magnolia Place

On the way to Savannah, we stopped at one of the plantations just outside of Charleston, Magnolia Place.  It was so nice, and would have been even prettier had we been there in Spring when things were blooming, as opposed to July when everything was just green (don't get me wrong, we like green a lot!)

The main house.  It had a really interesting history (we had a fantastic tour guide)

 Spot the baby alligator!

There were miles of trails all around the grounds, filled with Live Oaks, Spanish Moss and Azalea and Camelia plants...would be gorgeous when they are in bloom!

Bryn got up-close and personal with a peacock...they are SO pretty!

Tomorrow we will actually get to Savannah (it was a road trip after all!)
